Crawfish...

Last night, the boys and I went to The Claw in Garden Grove for some good food and good times.

I don't really like crawfish so I do the king crab legs, but Masa loves that crawfish.

We started with 5 lbs but added 2 lbs more. Plus a couple lbs of crab.

FOOOD!!

So came in this morning and I am already hungry. Then I saw these pictures of all type of food we ate in Japan and now I can't wait until lunch! So hungry!!!!!

Yaki niku (Japans BBQ) The meat was so fresh and so good that you could eat them raw. Best yaki niku I ever had in my life.

Hoppy! Hello Kitty Man's new favorit drink. Its a mixture of non alcoholic beer and shochu. I have to admit it was pretty good and Hoppy could fawk you up!

Shabu Shabu. All you can eat Shabu x2 plus all you can drink! Oh man a dream come true! See that plate of veggies? It was pretty much never touh all meat and alcohol!

Nodoguro. This fish was amazing! should be since this piece right here cost around $40~$50. DAAAMN!

Sushi. Nothing beats sushi from the motherland and no they dont have no damn rolls. Rolls do not exist in Japan.

Tsukemen. This is like Ramen but with the soup and noodle served seperately and cold. For the soup you get to choose different level of spiciness starting from 0 to 20. But the the record that we saw was 300! Someday we will get there we were only 285 away last time.

Ramen and Onigiri and beer. Ramen in Japan hands down nowhere can you find this taste in America. Its just that good.

Raw tounge. Yes RAW. First time trying it but it was pretty good.

Japanese Beef. One of the softest flavorfull meat I had.

Raw Horse Meet. First time ever having raw horse meet never ever thought anyone ate horse meet better yet RAW. It was actually pretty good wasnt too tough as I thought it would be.

New Born Trekkie...?

Growing up my brother and I were always into the sci-fi tv shows, and one we would always watch would be Star Trek. Even though I started with the Next Generation I never really went backwards to watch the orginal Star Trek with icons Capt. Kirk, and Spock, but this past Sunday I went to see Star Trek which is a telling of how these two and others came to be. Even if you don't know the series (which are most of my friends meaning im the square of the group) you will still enjoy it because it's just an all around good movie, and it doesn't seem like im the only one that thinks so. There have been many good reviews on the flick i.e. yahoo, rottten tomatos just to name a few. What are you waiting for? Get off your ass, pay the over priced ticket, buy some over priced popcorn, and enjoy the movie. It's okay you deserve it....

Fail

So I got my car smoged this morning and failed for NOx. Sucky. I think my egr isn't working.

Having lunch in Fullerton. kimchi fried rice, dumpling, and noodle with black bean sauce. foods good, filling and pretty cheap.

Late night snack

After a night of drinking we gotta stop by for some banh mi. Its the bomb! but takes forever to get them, waited like 20 mins for 8 sandwiches.

And I though that noise was flat spots...

Maybe I shouldn't have gave Koji that ride-a-long.

Mayhem!!!!

On our down time (lunch, breaks, home) we spend alot of time playing Street Fighter. So every here and there you'll see some chatter about the game. Recently there was a HUGE tournament which brought in players from all around the country to compete for the title of #1 in the USA. Well long time veteran Justin Wong (from the east coast) took the crown, but a few legendary players from the far far east coast (Japan) came to play a few matches, and well....let the rapeage ensue....

Korean national champ "Poongko" with the white Ryu versus Daigo "Beast" Umehara with the blue Ryu.

Now this is madness!!! 2 legends going at it. Daigo's legendary Ryu versus Iyo's insane Dhalsim....

Daigo (Ryu) vs Justin Wong (Rufus)....

Karaoke anyone?

Hello There

Our driver "Quoc Ly'' @ Formula D Long Beach! Who just so happens to be our salesman

Our showroom

And this is where the dirrrty work gets done.

Were kinda new to this whole blogging thing, but we thought it would be most appropriate to introduce ourselves. This blog is dedicated to our friends and fans who've supported us through the years. Im sure some people wonder "What the hell do these guys do all day?" The answer to that is work, and to give you some more insight of what makes us tick.

Drift Speed was founded in 2002 by a handful of driving enthusiasts from Orange County. Its goal was to create a single location where other enthusiasts could come to obtain all the hard to find Japanese parts designed to withstand the toughest conditions on the race track. By 2003, the success of the shop had prompted the creation of a race car for use in professional competition. In building the competition car, a maintenance bay was added, bringing the ability to perform automotive repair, installation of parts, and modification as new services by Drift Speed. Over the years Drift Speed has established a series of relationships with many leading performance parts manufacturers gaining the ability to carry a wide variety of merchandise. This wide selection and the ability to install and service vehicles helped Drift Speed maintain a reputation as a reputable and reliable source in the motor sports industry. With the recent relocation and expansion, 2007 brings Drift Speed to new heights. The new 6000 square feet location located in Los Alamitos features a large retail area showcasing many of the available products, wheel displays, and 4 LCD TV’s. There is also a customer waiting room with a big screen LCD and satellite TV entertainment. The new state of the art service bay offers full automotive repair and maintenance, a dedicated performance engine building clean room, dynamometer measuring and tuning, custom fabrication, tire mounting and balancing, nitrogen tire inflation, and four-wheel CCD alignment. Drift Speed is also expanding its competitive racing team with the building fully tuned competition vehicles. These vehicles will showcase the best products available for each vehicle design and will be a testament to the services and products available. It has taken “Drifting” several years to become popular and respected in the sport compact performance market. Drift Speed is proud to be a part of the beginning and the future of this growing sport in the United States and will constantly strive to be at the forefront.

Whew! I know thats kinda alot to read, so there you have it...Stay tuned!!!
